A Low Priced Wall Mount Heater May Not Provide You With Much Warmth
I got the Soleus HGW308 model electric heater that you can mount to your wall last year. The primary reason why I got this electric heater is because we moved into a house that doesn’t have central heat and air. It also had absolutely no heat anywhere, nothing previously installed.
I’ve got a couple of kids and as everyone knows space heaters are usually not good for children to be around. So once I saw this wall mount heater I thought it will be perfect. I could install this high enough on the wall that little hands would not be able to reach it. Well sadly that’s the only good thing this type of wall mounted electric heater is good for.
Though my very own kids didn’t touch the heater and it did look so much better compared with any unit sitting on the floor, they also didn’t get hot enough. The heater does not put out enough heat to warm a standard sized room. So I went out and purchased a couple of of these wall mounted heaters. One for each child’s room.
I put them on the walls and hoped for the best. Their rooms only got a little warmer compared with the rooms without heat in them. Even with the doorways closed they needed to curl up in their blankets and the area felt cool. I don’t think the room ever reached the set temperature or that the heater ever cut off because it never reached the temperature requested.
So that is not really Eco friendly, now is it? As expected, I took both wall heaters back to the shop. I bought the other model that goes on the floor. While they are ugly they do work. Not long after I got central heat inside the home. Now my very own home is warm and toasty during the winter time, with the children snug safe in their beds. I don’t recommend to buy low cost wall mount heaters for your residence, but rather go for high quality ones.
