200mw waterproof laser – what it offers
Many people would certainly like to know what the most important specifications are when it comes down to choosing a laser which will be suitable for sending the SOS message. Most of the people can think of good color and bright color, but they skip many other important characteristics which determine the laser’s reliability to a great extent. As far as the outage and water resistance are concerned, it is true that choosing a 200mw waterproof laser is a very smart choice. However, that should not be the only thing to pay attention to since there are many 200mw waterproof lasers which will not be as useful as they were expected to be.
But let’s get back to the fact why a 200mw waterproof laser itself is a good choice. For example, would it be a worse idea of a 100mw laser was picked? Well, the answer to that question is: yes, it would be a much worse idea. Why? That is owed to the fact that the more powerful a laser pointer is the more people it will be noticed by. And being noticed by as many people as possible is the main target when it is use for sending the SOS message.
Some people, however, might say that there more powerful lasers than the 200mw waterproof laser. For instance, there are 500mw lasers and even 1000mw lasers, which also can be water resistant. Yes, the truth is that they are also a smart choice, but having such a powerful laser is really pointless as the range of a 1000mw laser is not much bigger than the range of 200mw waterproof laser. So it would really be useless spending more money, and endangering the eyesight of other people even more – after all, a 1000mw laser would be 5 times more powerful than a 200mw water proof laser.
Now, let’s get back to the other characteristics to be taken into consideration when green lasers, and a 200mw waterproof laser in particular, will be used as an SOS tool. Operating temperature, for instance, is a very important technical characteristic which always should be kept in mind. A 200mw waterproof laser or even any other type of green lasers needs to have operating temperature in the range of between -20 degrees Celsius and +40 degrees Celsius. And that’s the narrowest range acceptable since it could be even colder than -20 degrees Celsius in the mountains though people are unlikely to mountaineering in the season but one never knows.
